Comparison of So-eumin prescription and Jin Yuan era prescription using database

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives: To compare the herbal ingredients of the prescriptions in ?Newly Selected Twenty-four Key Formulas applied to So-eumin(ãæïÒá´ëäìÑÜ»ëëéÄé©å·ì£ä¨ÞÌÛ°)? chapter of the Shinchuk edition of the ?Donuisusebowon? and those from the texts of the Four Great Doctors of the Jin Yuan period.
Methods: The herbal ingredients of the ?Donuisusebowon? and those from ?Huangdisuwen Xuanminglunfang(üÜð¨áÈÙýà¾Ù¥ÖåÛ°)?, ?Lanshimicang(ÑðãøÝúíú)?, ?Suwenbingji Qiyibaomingji (áÈÙýܻѦѨëñÜÁÙ¤ó¢)?, ?Shanghan Biaoben Xinfaleicui(ß¿ùÎøöÜâãýÛö×¾õþ)?, ?Piweilun(Þ¡êÖÖå)?, ?Neiwai Shangbianhuolun(Ò®èâß¿Ü©ûãÖå)?, ?Shanghanzhige(ß¿ùÎòÁÌ«)?, ?Shanghanxinyao(ß¿ùÎ ãýé©)?, ?Sanxiaolun(ß²á¼Öå)? were entered into the database. Next, formulas which included the herbal combination pattern of So-eumin formula were determined.
Results: Among the 33 So-eumin formulas including edited versions, those that showed similar pattern among those in the JinYuan texts were the following 24: hwanggigyejibujatang, insamgyejibujatang, seung-yang-iggibujatang, insamgwangyebujatang, seung-yang-iggitang, bojung-iggitang, hwanggigyejitang, cheongunggyejitang, gwaghyangjeonggisan, palmulgunjatang, baegha-ogunjatang, sibjeondaebotang, dogsampalmultang, hyangbujapalmultang, gyejibanhasaenggangtang, hyangsa-yang-witang, gwanjungtang, insamjinpitang, insamjinpitanggagambang, insam-osu-yutang, gwangyebuja-ijungtang, osu-yubuja-ijungtang, baeghasu-o-ijungtang, baegha-obuja-ijungtang.
Conclusions: Based on the finding that 72.7% of the Shinchuk edition¡¯s So-eumin formula patterns could be found in the texts of the Four Masters, Dongmu¡¯s assertion that the So-eumin formulas has been clarified almost completely by the doctors of the Song, Yuan, Ming eras could be understood as true.
